Transition Area
The Transition Area is situated immediately south of Downtown. Prestigious single-detached residential development began in the early 1900’s. In 1912, a major tornado damaged or destroyed many buildings along Lorne and Smith Streets. Housing has changed significantly from the single family housing to apartment buildings and condos. There are no schools in the area.
